Timeline

  • 1979

    It was at the end of July 1979, that Mr.Yves Boivin and Mr. Rolland Gauvin created Boivin & Gauvin Inc. to offer the customers their knowledge and experience in protective fire equipment.
  • 1990

    In April 1990, Mr. Robert Traversy starts his own business after the closure of a fire truck manufacturing company based in St-François-du-Lac. TECHNO FEU Inc. begins operations with two employees, both shareholders, M. Sylvie Léveille and Mr. Robert Traversy.
  • 1991

    Few months later, the company becomes dealer for SUPERIOR products. This company located in Alberta manufactures fire trucks known for their reliability across North America.
  • 1992

    SUPERIOR was bought by the American company E-ONE who is also a manufacturer of fire trucks, recognized worldwide. TECHNO FEU Inc. becomes, on this occasion, dealer for E-ONE, BRONTO SKYLIFT and SAULSBURY.
  • 1997

    Year after year, TECHNO FEU Inc. is expanding and in 1997 the company moved to 105, rte Marie-Victorin in St-François-du-Lac, in a building of 6000 square feet.
  • 2002

    Its activities require the enlargement of the building of another 6,000 square feet to create a space for sandblasting and preparation room for painting. Moreover, it adds an installation for the pump test. TECHNO FEU Inc. can therefore perform pump testing in accordance with the ULC and NFPA standards, and this throughout the year.
  • 2007

    In order to reorganize its administrative areas, TECHNO FEU Inc., increased the area of its premises of 2,400 additional square feet. TECHNO FEU Inc. now has a brand new conference room for its customers.
  • 2009

    François Proulx, businessman from Trois-Rivières becomes majority shareholder of the company. Combined with the experience and expertise of Mr. Traversy and Mrs. Leveille, François Proulx is confident that TECHNO FEU Inc. will continue to reach new heights of excellence in the coming years.
  • 2011

    TECHNO FEU Inc. has a new interior pumping house of 3000 square feet, which allows performance test for two trucks at a time, and this all year long. This new addition will allow us to conduct performance testing, make minor or major repairs and ensure the proper operation of the equipment under one roof.
  • 2013

    TECHNO FEU Inc. is back in Eastern Canada. The whole team is proud to have the opportunity to work again in the Atlantic Provinces.
  • 2014

    TECHNO FEU INC., a leader in the sale and maintenance of fire trucks, became the new majority owner of the family business BOIVIN & GAUVIN Inc. Since its foundation in 1979, BOIVIN & GAUVIN Inc. has developed on solid foundations and has established over the years trusting relationships that make us proud with first-class customer in the sale and maintenance of fire equipment.
  • 2015

    Concerned about the quality of its products and service, the group formed by TECHNO FEU Inc. and BOIVIN & GAUVIN Inc., is now grouping the best equipment seller and firefighting vehicle dealer in Quebec and Eastern Canada. The exclusivity of his products, brands and unparalleled expertise give it a key place in the market.

    This new group is now called 1200°.

  • 2018

    1200° Group acquires Darch Fire, located in Ayr in Ontario. Founded in 1993 by Mr John Darch and Ms Susan Miller, Darch Fire is a family-owned business that services the Ontario Fire Services for both fire trucks and equipment. The Group is now comprised of fifty-eight (58) employees, an inventory of 2.8 million dollars, nine (9) service units, three (3) service centers and workshop space of more than 30,000 sq. ft. dedicated to the Fire Services from Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces.
